讲座题目：Transportation Cost, Infrastructure, and the Organization of Economic Activities

　　讲座摘要： In response to a strand of rising literature studying the relationship between the spatial distribution of economic activity and transportation costs, this lecture surveys related studies on the economic impact of transportation infrastructure. First, a basic urban model is illustrated to analyze the possible effect of lower transportation costs. Second, empirical settings, endogeneity problems, and corresponding identification strategies in this topic are introduced and these ideas can be applied in other studies. Third, some key papers in current literature are surveyed to give an overview of major empirical findings. Lastly, discussions summarize the current findings and show possible areas for future research.

　　主讲人简介：逄金栋，betway必威经管学院助理教授，研究领域为城市区域及房地产经济学。已在Journal of Applied Econometrics, Regional Science and Urban Economics等期刊发表论文，并担任Journal of Housing Economics, Journal of Transport Economics and Policy的匿名审稿人。
