　　Exporters embed in trade network to expand their trade, by finding the most connected trading partners. This paper gives the theoretical and empirical evidence of this hypothesis. Information search cost, public knowledge and entrepot trade are three possible reasons. Using global trade data from 1995 to 2016, we confirm that the exporters are more likely to find the new partner with the more trade links, new export country with more trade links is more likely to establish new links, and new links might cause more new links in the next period. These conclusions are robust in all HS 2-digit products trade networks but not consistent in trade networks with small country number.
