  讲座摘要:Prefabricated construction is an important innovation in the building sector with the benefits of shortened time, improved quality, reduced cost, and conserved resources. Supply chain management (SCM) could effectively facilitates successful implementation and delivery of prefabricated building projects (PBP). Building information modelling (BIM) and radio frequency identification (RFID) are integrated to trace the real-time status of the supply chain of a prefabricated building project in Hong Kong, which finds a series of problems in the SCM, such as excessive inventory, overproduction, and long lead-time of precast components. This reveals multiple supply chain risks (SCRs) in PBP. The supply chains of PBP involve large numbers of stakeholders, including clients, designers, main contractors, transporters, and assembly sub-contractors, which play an important role in coordinating upstream and downstream processes. SCR are closely associated with the stakeholders involved and have high interdependency with each other to influence the performance of the supply chains. Seven major stakeholders and thirty associated SCR are identified in PBP, which form a complex dynamic network. Social network analysis is adopted to analyze the stakeholder-associated SCR, finding that design change, poor communication between stakeholders, delayed deliver of precast components, inaccurate estimation of time and resources, and delayed assembly schedule are the critical SCR in PBP. The client, main-contractor, and manufacturer are important sources of the SCR. The root causes of the SCR include poor supply chain planning, poor control of working flows, and poor information-sharing between stakeholders. This study accurately reveals the actual situation of SCM for PBP in Hong Kong and identifies the problems embedded in the supply chains. Critical stakeholder-associated SCR in PBP are also investigated and prioritized. This study is of value in helping scholars and practitioners to respond to the SCR and address the embedded problems, thereby to improve the performance of SCM for PBP.

  主讲人简介:罗丽姿,香港理工大学博士候选人,专注于大陆及香港地区工业化建筑供应链动态管理研究。她曾多次以主要成员身份参与大陆及香港地区本学科领域重要课题,并以第一作者及合作作者身份发表SCI文章近10篇。她曾先后访问新加坡国立大学、大阪大学、科廷大学、美国劳伦斯伯克利等国际研究机构。
