　　摘要：This talk situates Environmental Documentary production in China, as the country moves to become a global environmental leader. It looks at three recent "independent" environmental films dealing with issues of mining, waste management, and conservation.

　　主讲人简介：Dr. Miguel Rojas-Sotelo is an art historian, visual artist and a visiting scholar at Duke Kunshan University. He holds a doctorate degree in visual studies, contemporary art and cultural theory from the University of Pittsburgh. He teaches at the Nicholas School of the Environment and the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies at Duke University and is director of the N.C. Latin American Film and New Media Festival and founder of Water Towns Environmental Film and Arts Festival in China.
